General Contractor - Manhattan Construction
Houston, Texas
Energy Center I and II, two high-rise buildings, are the first speculative office buildings to be built in Houston’s energy corridor in over eight years as a LEED project. LEED is a third-party certification program that is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
Accurate Comfort Systems USA, contributed to the energy efficient and sustainable design by supplying energy efficient HVAC systems, piping and equipment for the buildings and by installing high efficiency chillers, variable volume pumps and air handling units, non-chemical, pulsed-power, water treatment system, and a state of the art building automation. The building required the use of a carbon dioxide based demand controlled ventilation system to reduce the amount of ventilation air in the building to maintain proper indoor air quality. Accurate Comfort Systems USA, Inc also supplied and installed this system.
In partnership with Manhattan Construction, Accurate Comfort Systems USA, Inc stayed on schedule, within budget and met the goals of the client. Accurate Comfort Systems USA also provided special material handling to meet LEED indoor air quality requirements, including covering all ductwork and air moving equipment openings to prevent unwanted introduction of dust and special filters during construction, startup and commissioning of the systems.
